Mitch Turner, MS, LPC, CSAC, ICS
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward? I offer compassionate, practical support for mental health, substance use, relationships, and personal change. My goal is to walk alongside you as you regain focus, stability, and purpose.
I hold a psychology degree and a master’s in counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. For 21 years, I served with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a Probation/Parole Agent and Motivational Interviewing Ambassador, working closely with individuals facing severe mental health challenges. My clinical experience includes Goodwill Industries, Catholic Charities, Tellurian, and Family Service.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, Independent Clinical Supervisor, and a CCS Network Provider for Dane County. I’m currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals dealing with homelessness, chronic mental illness, intellectual challenges, substance use, and suicidal thoughts. I also have extensive training in domestic violence intervention. I’m passionate about the connection between mental health, nutrition, and fitness.
I developed the “Stay Focused” program and the Model of Self-Control to help people remain steady, non-reactive, and empowered. I believe everyone has a purpose, and it’s never too late to build a meaningful, fulfilling life. My mission is to help you stay focused, find peace, and move toward a life you’re proud of.
I look forward to supporting your journey.
